Welcome

Welcome to my blog.

I have been involved in designing websites for over fifteen years now and in that time many things have changed. The Internet has become far more integral to our every day lives – almost every aspect of our lives has some kind of link to the internet.

My job as a website designer is to create a website that conveys the message of the company or individual to the public audience in a clear and concise way. Social media obviously plays a major part in that, but even before that your site my be able to be found by the public and by this I am of course referring to search engines.

Its no good having a great site if no one is going to see it so the most important part of designing a website is to ensure it is search engine friendly (SEF). In order to do that you must optimise your site, so when a search engine crawler or spider finds your site, it can easily log and catagorise every part of your site that you want it to see, this is calles search engine optimisation (SEO)

In future posts I will go into what my tips are for a great website, how to optimise an existing site, and more
